2. Data Collection

At FLUX - Fashion & Luxury Business Club, we believe in transparency and the ethical collection of data. We use cookies for our data collection. This section outlines the specific data we collect, and the reasons behind each collection:

Member Information:

  • First and Last Name: Used to personalize our communications and maintain an organized contact list.

  • Email Addresses: Essential for transmitting club-related information and tailoring emails based on the membership chosen. We consider that the member’s willingness to participate in the club (FLUX – Fashion & Luxury Business Club)’s activities, through their form’s submission, enables us to send them emails about the different club’s events, we may inform them about their membership ending, and we may propose them to reengage into the club through new memberships. We also consider through this willingness to participate in the club that we can send automated emails for payment information related to memberships. This is in line with the exception of requiring specific data to provide our service.

  • Phone Number: We gather the phone numbers of new club members with the primary purpose of facilitating event communication through iMessage or WhatsApp or directly call for urgent organizational matters. This enables us to form event-specific groups for efficient event coordination, including the dissemination of essential information such as event schedules, meeting locations, travel details, and more. We also employ WhatsApp as a means to disseminate information for coordination purposes for events and important administrative information of the club to our members via a group established and overseen by the FLUX Board Members.

  • Gender: We respect and value diversity. We collect gender information (male, female, other) for statistical purposes and to tailor our offerings more effectively.

  • Membership Type: Whether it's an Annual Membership (40 CHF) or a Lifetime Membership (55 CHF), this data helps us with statistical analysis and operational purposes.

  • Payment Preference: We collect this information for practical and statistical purposes. It's important to note that we do not have access to sensitive private data such as card numbers or CVV codes. These specific details are securely managed and processed by our trusted payment processor, Stripe.

Event-Related Information:

  • Phone Number: For members who enrolled before October 1st, 2023, it's possible that we do not have their phone numbers on record since our data collection for this information began on October 1st, 2023. Consequently, we may reach out via email to request their phone numbers or send them a link where they can join the WhatsApp group. On occasion, and specifically for event coordination purposes or important administrative information, we may also request phone numbers to establish WhatsApp groups or facilitate direct communication, ensuring seamless event planning and organization.

  • Forms: For events, we utilize forms to grant access to either a limited or unlimited number of members. Consequently, we may require the same information as outlined in the "Member Information" section.

  • TicketTailor: For events, we utilize forms to grant access to either a limited or unlimited number of members. Consequently, we may require the same information as outlined in the "Member Information" section.

  • Photos: We retain the privilege of capturing photographs during our events, which may feature the faces of our members. These images are utilized on our website and social media platforms to highlight and promote our gatherings.

  • Forms & Buttons: We track the number of forms submitted to gauge user engagement.

We never sell or share this data with third parties for marketing purposes. We believe in being transparent about the data we collect during these campaigns, ensuring our members understand and trust our processes:

  • Email Metrics: We monitor the number of emails sent, delivered, opened, and the specific links clicked within these emails. This helps us gauge the effectiveness of our communication and refine our content for better engagement.

  • Unsubscription: If a member chooses to unsubscribe from our emails, we collect their email address solely for the purpose of ensuring they no longer receive our communications. This is in line with our commitment to respect our members' choices and preferences.

  • Tailored Mailing Lists: Based on the membership type chosen during the subscription process, we may create specific mailing lists. This allows us to send tailored emails to specific groups of members, ensuring they receive the most relevant information.
